Attorney Rebecca L. Stone was born in Charlotte, NC, and raised in Hendersonville, NC. She graduated from Hendersonville High School and attended college at Pfeiffer University. At Pfeiffer University, she double-majored in Pre-Law and Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science. As a result, she graduated from Pfeiffer with Cum Laude honors. Following, Ms. Stone attended law school at Appalachian School of Law where she was a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children Volunteer, which is where she fell in love with family law. During law school, Ms. Stone interned at the Henderson County District Attorney’s Office and Gillett Stallings Law Office. She received her Juris Masters and Juris Doctorate from the Appalachian School of Law. Ms. Stone obtained her North Carolina bar license in April of 2017. In July 2017, she began her employment with the Jason Hayes Law Firm where she handled domestic, criminal, and DSS matters. Upon Mr. Hayes closing his private practice, Ms. Stone joined the Jackson Law Firm and practiced domestic and criminal law before leaving in 2020.
In June of 2020, Ms. Stone joined Stallings Law where she currently practices in an assortment of fields such as:
- Domestic cases, including domestic abuse, child custody, and support, divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, and post-separation support, separation agreements, termination of parental rights, adoption, and more;
- Criminal cases including traffic tickets, misdemeanor offenses, and some felony charges for both adults and juvenile delinquents;
- Abuse, Dependency, and Neglect cases;
- Incompetency and Guardianship cases; and
- Involuntary commitment cases.
When Ms. Stone is not in court advocating for her clients, you can find her with her three pups and husband or out on the lake.
